TATTOO FAQs

  • First, we have a conversation where you tell me your vision and we talk about how many sessions it’ll take. Then I will send you a booking link to pick your first session, choose a date & pay a deposit.

  • Yes, I do cover-ups and work with scars and stretch marks. Each case is unique, so I’ll need to assess the area in person or via a clear photo. This helps me determine the best design and placement to ensure the tattoo looks amazing and achieves the desired result.

The picture at the top of this page is actually a cover-up of some scars all along my client’s forearm.

  • Absolutely! I have experience working with a variety of skin tones and can create vibrant, bold, or subtle designs tailored to darker skin. During our consultation, we’ll discuss your vision and how to achieve the best results. Check out my portfolio.

  • Nope. If I do, this is the way it usually goes: you show the photo to 6 people and you have 8 different revisions you want to make, which takes up more time than necessary.

You will see your design at your appointment, and I will usually draw it (or finalize it) directly on your skin to ensure maximum flow with the contours of your body.

Please understand I’m not new to this, baby, I’ve been true to this — and we’ll work out just fine. :)

  • Yes! I often create custom designs I’d love to tattoo. I have a book on hand in the shop that you can look through. I don’t like posting my drawings online for somebody to take em to their friend who does tattoos out of their kitchen?? Absolutely not.

  • Preparation is key to a great experience! Make sure you’re well-rested, hydrated, and have eaten before your session. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area. Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications at least 24 hours before your appointment.

Oh, and bring something to keep yourself entertained (with headphones) because I don’t talk much during a tattoo. You want straight lines, smooth shading, and solid color? Let me concentrate, please :-)

  • Aftercare is essential for healing. I’ll provide detailed instructions during your appointment, but generally:

    • Keep the tattoo clean and moisturized with Aquaphor, or a gentle fragrance-free lotion.

    • Avoid soaking in water (baths, pools, etc.) and direct sunlight while healing.

    • Follow my specific aftercare guidelines to ensure the tattoo heals beautifully.

PIERCING FAQs

How can I book a piercing appointment?

Booking is simple! Head over to my booking page, select the type of piercing you’re interested in, and pick a date and time that works for you. Once your appointment is confirmed, I’ll provide details on how to prepare for your session. No consultations required. Click here to view Piercing Prices.

Do you pierce minors?

Yes, I pierce minors with proper consent. A parent or legal guardian must be present at the appointment and must have a valid photo ID, along with proof of guardianship if necessary. Certain age restrictions apply based on the piercing type.

What jewelry do you use for piercings?

I only use high-quality, implant-grade materials like titanium or surgical steel to ensure safety and comfort. I’ll guide you in choosing the best style and size for your new piercing during your appointment.

Can I bring my own jewelry?

For initial piercings, I recommend using the jewelry I provide to ensure it meets the highest safety standards. Once the piercing has healed, you’re welcome to switch to other jewelry options.

Does it hurt?

Pain tolerance varies, but most clients describe the sensation as a quick pinch or pressure. I use techniques to minimize discomfort and make the process as smooth as possible.

How do I care for my new piercing?

Proper aftercare is crucial for healing. General guidelines include:

  • Clean the piercing at least 3 times daily with a saline solution or antibacterial soap.

  • Avoid touching the piercing with unclean hands, aka WASH YOUR HANDS.

  • Refrain from changing the jewelry until the piercing is fully healed.

    • I’ll provide detailed instructions and aftercare tips specific to your piercing at your service time.

What should I avoid after getting a piercing?

To ensure proper healing:

  • Avoid swimming in pools, hot tubs, or natural bodies of water.

  • Don’t twist, rotate, or play with the jewelry.

  • Steer clear of harsh cleaning products like alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.

  • Avoid applying makeup, lotions, or other products near the piercing site.

How long does it take for a piercing to heal?

Healing times vary depending on the piercing type and individual factors. For example:

  • Earlobes: 6–8 weeks

  • Cartilage: 4–12 months

  • Navel: 6–12 months
I’ll discuss the estimated healing time for your specific piercing during the appointment.

Can I get pierced if I’m pregnant?

For your safety and comfort, I do not perform piercings on pregnant clients. Hormonal changes during pregnancy can impact healing and increase the risk of complications.

What should I do if my piercing gets infected?

If you suspect an infection, avoid removing the jewelry and clean the area with saline solution. Monitor for signs like increased redness, swelling, or discharge. Contact me or a healthcare professional for advice if the issue persists.
